Welcome to my Magicka Sorcerer DPS Build for any type of PVE Gameplay in ESO. Stormborn is a Staff Magicka Sorcerer Build that is not using any Pets to deal damage or assist you in combat. The build offers various setups that can help you clear both solo and group gameplay, which makes it a flexible but strong option for PVE gameplay. The idea behind Stormborn is to weaken your targets with your debuffs, Damage over Time abilities and constant AOE shock damage before you can finish them with your strong burst skills. Magicka Sorcerer DPS No Pet Build Setup

Stormborn is a flexible Magicka Sorcerer Build that offers various setups for different levels of difficulty. Depending on the content you wish to complete you should change your gear based on the recommendations below!

Trials Group DPS

This setup is for dedicated group gameplay, is using harder to find Trial gear and aims to help you achieve the best damage possible! Whorl of the Depths and Pillar of Nirn are the core Sets of the Build. Two powerful AOE Armor Sets that will boost your damage. To complement them, add one piece ofSlimecraw Monster Setand the amazingHarpooner’s Wading Kilt Mythic Set. To complete the setup useCrushing Wallon your back bar to further boost damage.

No Trial Gear

The No-Trial Gear setup is meant for easier Solo but also easier Group PVE Gameplay. You can wear this setup if you are planning to play Overland content(Public Dungeons, World Bosses) or clear normal Dungeons. This setup is not strong enough to survive Solo Arenas like the Maelstrom Arena,Vateshran HollowsandInfinite Archive.For this purpose you should use a dedicated Solo PVE Sorcerer Build. A few powerful alternative Sets you can use with this setup include Order’s Wrath and Auroran’s Thunder!

The setup also offers powerful Burst damage to help you finish enemies faster, clear content and achieve your goals with success. • Endless Fury(Mages’ Fury): Execute Ability. Use it when the enemy is below 20% Health.
• Haunting Curse: Deals good single target and AOE damage and explodes a second time.
• Shocking Soul: Shock Damage+Lingering Torment+Breach.
• Flawless Dawnbreaker(Dawnbreaker): It buffs weapon damage and deals great direct and DOT damage.
• Lightning Flood(Lightning Splash): Good AOE Shock damage based skills.

Below you will find the best Champion Points setup for the Build. When allocating Champion points to Slottable and Passive Stars your primary goal is to create paths! Allocate the minimum required points to stars along your path in order to reach your desired Slottable Stars faster. Once you have unlocked all Stars, start allocating more Champion Points to them to fill them out. Focus on Slottable Stars first, then Passive Stars. Warfare

• Slottable Stars: Deadly Aim, Master-at-Arms, Wrathful Strikes, Fighting Finesse
• Passive: Eldritch Insight, Piercing, Flawless Ritual, War Mage, Quick Recovery, Hardy, Elemental Aegis, Preparation, Precision, Blessed, Tireless Discipline

Craft

• Slottable Stars: Rationer, Liquid Efficiency, Master Gatherer, Steed’s Blessing
• Passive: Gilded Fingers, Fortune’s Favor, Wanderer, Steadfast Enchantment, Treasure Hunter(slottable, required for path)

Fitness

• Slottable Stars: Celerity, Fortified, Rejuvenation, Boundless Vitality
• Passive: Sprinter, Hasty, Tireless Guardian, Hero’s Vigor, Mystic Tenacity, Tumbling, Defiance

Food and Potions for Magsorc PVE Build

Clockwork Citrus Filet is the Best Food for the Build while Essence of Spell Power is the best option as Potions.

Race

The Best Race for the Magicka Sorcerer No Pet DPS Build in ESO is High Elf. Dark Elf, Khajiit and Breton are nice alternative Races you can use for a DPS focused Build. Any Race with Magicka bonuses can work well though. You can find more about the playable races in my ESO Race Guide!

Vampire or Werewolf

Neither is necessary.

Rotation for Magicka No Pet Sorcerer PVE Build ESO

Drink a potion, cast Critical Surge and set your Barbed Trap. Attack with Lightning Flood, Unstable Wall of Elements and switch bars. Continue with Haunting Curse, Shocking Soul, Force Pulse as your spammable. Continue attacking with Force Pulse and re apply the other skills when necessary. When Crystal Fragments procs and is instant use it immediately. When the enemy’s Health drops below 20% start using Endless Fury as your spammable and execute ability. Use Dark Conversion to restore Magicka and Heal. Activate your Ultimates when ready and always Light Attack before every skill or action to boost your damage!

Best Companion

If you wish to play Solo, you can bring along a mighty Companion! Companions in ESO are helpful allies that can assist you in combat. Every Companion can fulfill every role in the game and help you enjoy ESO more by clearing content faster or by simply interacting with them and their charming personality! There are various Builds you can use for every available ESO Companion! As a DPS focused character my recommendation is to bring along a Tank or Healer Companion! To further maximize the potential of your chosen Companion, you can wear the Telvanni Efficiency Set! A Crafted Set that reduces the cooldown of your Companions abilities, improving their damage and overall effects and assisting you further in combat.

Stormborn is a powerful No Pet Magicka Sorcerer DPS Build for every type of PVE Gameplay in ESO! The Build relies on Shock damage and strong Burst skills to weaken your targets and defeat them faster. With two different setups, you can participate in harder Group content or Solo easier Overland and normal difficulty group content. The Build is great if you prefer playing without Sorcerer Pets or if you wish to create a Shock Mage Build in ESO!
